- We Did It — And Then Some! Over 100% of Our Goal Reached on North Texas Giving Day!
North Texas Giving Day 2025 We are beyond excited to share that Empowering the Masses raised $11,735 on North Texas Giving Day — that’s more than 100% of our goal! Thanks to YOU — our incredible community of supporters — we didn’t just reach our $10,000 goal… we passed it! Why This Matters Your generosity directly supports our mission to empower individuals and families in South Dallas through: Workforce training programs like Phlebotomy and Community Health Worker (CHW) certifications Fresh, culturally relevant food access through our CommUNITY Market Wrap-around services to remove barriers like childcare, transportation, and technology access Volunteer-led community engagement, public art, and health education This funding allows us to hire a Case Manager for our market, support more students , and expand our outreach and impact . Every dollar helps us move our mission forward. We Couldn't Have Done It Without You To every donor, volunteer, partner, and friend who shared, supported, or gave — THANK YOU. This win belongs to all of us. What’s Next Now that we've exceeded our goal, here’s what’s coming up for Empowering the Masses: Expand Our Workforce Development Programs. We’re growing our training opportunities, including Phlebotomy, CHW, and new skills-based programs — helping more individuals gain certifications that lead to livable wages and lasting careers. Enhance the Quality Experience in Our CommUNITY Market We’re committed to making the Market not just a place to access food, but a welcoming, dignified, and culturally relevant shopping experience for every community member. Launch New Community Events & Outreach Efforts From health resources to volunteer opportunities for all ages and practical resource workshops, we’re planning events that bring neighbors together and strengthen community bonds across South Dallas. Share the Stories of the Lives You’ve Helped Change You’ll start hearing real stories from students, volunteers, and families whose lives have been transformed because of your support. Their journeys are the heart of our mission. Together, we're not just meeting goals — we’re building momentum. Thank you for believing in Empowering the Masses and in the power of community-led change. Let’s keep going!
