Volunteer to Feed a Family Today.

*We welcome volunteers Friday from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm and Saturday from 6:30 am to 11:30 am

Volunteers serve our neighbors in different ways:

  1. Friday: Assembling, preparing, and packing 30 - 40 lb. emergency food bags to be distributed in the drive-thru pantry.

  2. Saturday: Assisting with the drive-thru pantry operation, clients drive-up, and -stay in their cars. Our staff and volunteers place pertinent information on the dashboard, which is recorded. Volunteers bring pre-packaged bags of groceries to the trunk of each car. For clients and volunteers’ protection, if the trunk is full or does not work, clients are directed to a location where they load their groceries.

Volunteers Are the Backbone of Empowering The Masses

Volunteer

Empowering The Masses is doing everything we can to make sure that the families in our communities receive the groceries they need in a timely and safe manner. We believe that this is not the time for our neighbors to be undernourished, which can weaken their resistance to the virus.

Due to COVID-19, Empowering The Masses is on an emergency service operation schedule. Our drive-thru food pantry is open every Saturday from 8:00 am to10:00 pm. We are serving clients in an efficient and safe manner, so that they do not have to leave their vehicle.

We operate from a local church and have enhanced our cleaning methods, procedures, and schedule. Staff and volunteers are requested to wash their hands before entering the prep area, wear protective gloves, wear a cover/mask face/nose area, and practice the recommended social distancing of six feet apart.
