Pantry Coordinator
As the Food Pantry Coordinator Mr. Cooper helps oversee the daily operations of the food pantry, including but not limited to, restocking of food pantry items, organizing, scheduling, and receiving pick-ups and deliveries, quality control, and collaborating with a team of food pantry volunteers.

I am a graduate student in the MSW program at UT Arlington. I am finding great joy and valuable experiences in interning with Empowering the Masses. Not only am I able to contribute my social work skills and knowledge, I am also connecting our participants with greatly needed programs in the community. Upon my completion of interning, I hope to have a better grasp of grassroots organizations operations, asset mapping and minimizing gaps in services.

I started as a food pantry volunteer alongside my teenage sons at Empowering the Masses a couple years ago. I have a lasting commitment to serve the greater community. I come with 30+ years of experience as a USDA policy specialist and Federal Team Leader in the Nation’s nutrition safety net programs, particularly WIC (women, infants and young children nutrition program).
